PostSubject: Baseline Rules and FAQ   Tue Jul 22, 2014 12:11 am

Hi. I'm currently getting this up and running, so I'd like to set some basic, baseline rules for everyone to go by.

1. Don't be a dick.
This basically means don't treat people like shit for no reason, don't be passive aggressive because you fucking hate someone and you're too scared to actually say anything, don't troll people for no reason. Seriously, if I see you doing nothing but prodding people over and over I'm going to have to respectfully ask you to shut the fuck up. No offense.

Please try to keep your temper with people being wrong about things.

2. No pornography
Part of the contract.

3. No double posting, use proper grammar, don't post images over 1000x in any dimension without spoilering them.
I understand some of you are running on a fucking commodore and have a resolution of like 800x600, but you're legitimately a minority. Sorry. Maybe we can work something out.

Also making copies of existing topics is probably a bad idea. Don't do it.

4. Quoting images
It would be preferred if you removed image tags from images you quote. I'll probably do it for you anyways if you don't.

5. Stay relatively ontopic
I understand sometimes you just REALLY wanna talk about dicks sometimes, but don't derail for more than a page. I'm willing to have this much leeway, because I understand you're human and sometimes something OTHER than the thread subject is legitimately more interesting. Just don't go out of hand.

----------

My opinions on some pretty volatile shit:

"Necromancy"

I see nothing wrong with this, as long as your post is valid.

"Disagreeing with what someone in power does"

There's nothing wrong with this as long as your point is valid. At the moment I'm the only person with any real power so if I do something you have a problem with let me know. I'm capable of self improvement, so don't be afraid to say something as long as you have a valid point and you aren't valeman asking me to give you 500 rt. (http://puu.sh/ajYHf.jpg)

"Supporting banned users"

I would appreciate if you didn't do this for people who are legitimately bad and didn't contribute anything. If this forum ever gets to the point where a legitimate user is banned and what he wants you to post is in the right and contributes, please do so. No one who wants to help should ever have to be silenced. Actually, no, if someone legitimate ever gets banned please let me know so I can figure out what the fuck happened.

"Bans"

I have no problem letting someone back in as long as they have made actual improvements. If you get banned, come back, and keep breaking the rules and shit, I'm going to put you back on the ban for a while before letting you back in. Hopefully no one should have to be permanently locked out of here. I sincerely hope this will never be the place where a banned user can come back, do nothing but make legitimate posts and contributions and help others, only to get banned because "OH NO IT HIM".

"Being wrong"

There's nothing wrong with this. Don't be afraid to admit you fucked up. It'll only make you a more mature person and people will respect you for it. Don't hold a wrong opinion just because you don't want to admit you're wrong. If you're wrong about something and you refuse to accept that, don't be surprised when people get pissed at you for it. On the other hand, there are times when the majority is actually wrong about something, so watch for that.
